Welcome to our new Reception children. We have been learning about God and that He made us all different and we are all very special.
We’re going on a bear hunt!
We went on a bear hunt to see what we could find. We found bears and honey hiding in the trees.
But… some of the bears were hurt! Luckily we have a hospital in our class to help.
We also found an apple tree on our walk and made apple hedgehogs.
It was Halloween and we decided to read a book called Funny Bones. We learnt about the bones in our body and what they do. We made our own skeleton from straws, paint and even used potatoes to stamp a picture. We also used marshmallows and spaghetti to create our own skeletons.
We went outside and made chalk skeletons by drawing around our friend’s. We had time for a sing along to the song ‘Them bones’ and made sure we gave our bones a shake as we danced!
A visit from the Nurse
Nurse Catherine came into our class to talk to us about hygiene. We learnt about when we should wash our hands and talked about how to wash ourselves to keep clean and healthy. She also brought some friends with her so that we could practise brushing their teeth like she had shown us.
