Year 6 took part in a business initiative, which was to give each child in Year 6 £5. They had to use it to create a business and make profit.
The children took this challenge very seriously and we had all sorts of businesses running from car washing to ice cream sales.
From the profits the children were allowed to choose a treat, which was a trip to Lane 7 in Newcastle with snacks and drinks.
The children then decided to donate the rest of the profits to charity which they voted on. There were four charities and the money will be split equally between them.
The charities are: Toma Fund, Stroke Association, Willowburn Hospice and RSPCA.
Thank you to everyone who supported our children with their businesses.
