We all struggle with how we’re feeling sometimes and it’s normal to have ups and downs. Let’s be honest, this year might have felt a little more down than up. This Friday, October 8th, is World Mental Health Day, and the children will be undertaking a variety of workshops throughout the day.
The theme of Young Minds, this year is #HelloYellow. The children are to come to school wearing their school uniform but are allowed to swap one item for something yellow. For example, yellow socks, tights, t-shirt, jumper, hairband etc. There is NO charge for this uniform swap – the day is not about money.
Saying #HelloYellow this World Mental Health Day is a little thing we can do to make a BIG difference to young people’s mental health.
In school we have two specially trained Youth Mental Health First Aiders. Mrs Davison and Miss Bainbridge are available to help support any child who needs help with their mental health.
